Jim Witmer, a top real estate broker in Santa Barbara since 1972, has built his success on his interest in people and his thorough attention to detail. His dedication to service, knowledge and family keep him tightly connected to the Santa Barbara community. His positive attitude and enthusiasm make the purchase an exciting experience.

Jim graduated from University of California at Santa Barbara in 1970. With a double major in Economics and Psychology, his interest in people and affinity toward business were well established. As a Realtor, he is continually in a position of listening, questioning, and counseling as client's dreams and concerns are identified. Once their goals are defined, his understanding of economics and his attention to detail guide the goals into reality.

Jim is active with the Santa Barbara Association of Realtors and has built a network of contacts over the years. He is a past president of theAssociation and was voted Realtor of the Year in 2004.  He has served in many areas including the Computer Committee, the Toastmasters Club, the Statistical Review Committee and been active on the Communication Committee and t Strategic Planning.

His attitude of service extends throughout his business career. Jim is a founding partner of the CORT database, which keeps records on all sales in Santa Barbara County. This information service supplies current reports on sales activity to appraisers, realtors, title companies and others. It keeps Jim informed on sales activity and in touch with the real estate community.

Jim has a strong community involvement. He lives in the Montecito area of Santa Barbara with his wife and two children. He is active in Youth Soccer and Junior Marketing programs. His personal interests include tennis, martial arts, gardening and family activities. He has recently obtained the E-PRO and the GREEN designations as he stays on top of the changing times.< BACK
